Day 6 (Istanbul Day2)

We got to stay in Istanbul for another half a day before heading to Kusadasi. For day 2, we did not have a guide. We decided to walk around on our own an hit up a couple places that we didn't get to yesterday.

First we took a old school trolly uphill. It took us a little bit to find, but we finally reached the Galata Tower. It is a medivel stone tower built in the 14th century. It sits on top of a hill and can been from far away. We were able to see it from our veranda. When we finally reached the tower, we had to go up. Luckily......they have elevators ^_^ Yes, Jon, it's the tower he climbs up in Assassin's Creed.

While traveling........we came a lot of stray cats and dogs. The tour guide told us that the government catches them, gives them their shots, neuter and tag them then sets them back out. I can't help but to take pictures of some of them!

After the Galata Tower, we walked downhill all the way to the Spice Market. It was pretty neat. It had a lot of interesting spices, foods and teas. Very crowded tho.

We got back on the boat in time to change and catch the next Hot Glass show!

 We also got to catch the sunset as the boat sailed away from Istanbul towards Kusadasi.
