Happy May 1st!

During the month of May, the French celebrate several holidays; the first being the 1st of May. It is the equivalent of Labor Day. On this day, people give each other Lily of the Valleys (a type of flower) or Muguets in French. It's suppose to bring good luck.....so....

The 1st of May is the French Labor day...well I think it's Labor day in many other countries too....just not the US. So on the 1st of May you're suppose to give a specific type of flowers to the people around you and wish them good luck. In English they're called "lilies of the valley" in French, they're "muguets". They smell very nice. All these people from the country come into the city to sell these flowers on May 1st.
